The Central Shopping Centre in Cairns has an extensive range of shops, ranging from department stores to speciality boutiques. The Pier Marketplace on the seafront also has a great choice of shops, restaurants and galleries, most of which are designed for Cairns's many tourists.

On the Esplanade, you'll find a wonderful selection of markets, including the famous Night Markets, offering local arts and crafts, as well as a huge selection of traditional Aussie food. On Saturdays, the Esplanade Markets near the fabulous Lagoon, offer really great jewellery and trinkets.
